France trip 2019 – Col de la Croix de Fer – 09 Sept 2019

Every year during the summer, the Kildare cycling club travel to a European destination for almost a week of cycling.  In 2019, we travelled to the south of France where we ascended some of the most famous climbs such as the mythical Alpe d’huez, Col de Galibier, Col de Glandon to mention a few.

The trip is open to all Kildare cycling club members, but as places are limited participation is prioritised for those members who actively participate in Club events throughout the cycling year.

After ascending Alpe d’Huez (missing from picture, Richie Whelan -taking the photo and Adrian Gannon, made his way back down the climb).

The cost of the trip covers everything from flights to and from the destination and accommodation.

These trips provide an excellent opportunity for all participants to enjoy a new environment, experience the worlds most famous climbs and routes, in glorious sunshine.
